This crag is located near the edge of the metropolitan area in Bayamon. The climbs show a beautiful view of the San Juan coast from the top of the rock wall and are just a 15-20 min drive from the SJU airport in Isla Verde.
Nuevo Bayamón is the main crag in Puerto Rico due to its location within the main urban area and the number and variety of routes.
Many parts of this area are shady all day long; some are even in cave-like areas.
Nuevo Bayamon climbing area has over 150 sport climbing routes, ranging from beginner(5.7) to advanced(5.12d/13a), making it the most developed crag in the Caribbean.
Has a short hike between 10 to 15 minutes and a lot of shade in most rock walls.
The limestone walls feature big pockets, tufa’s(stalactites), and other intriguing rock formations shaped by the rainwater.

Route: Yan Gabriel 5.9, A fun route that starts on a very easy slab. Giant low angle pockets lead to vertical climbing with a distinct crux move pulling a small bulge.
