    It is a local favorite, with some climbers considering it the best limestone style in Puerto Rico. Climbers will be rewarded with an expansive view of the Toa Vaca lake and the surrounding countryside in Villalba.     Nuevo Bayamon(Monagas)

    This is the main crag in Puerto Rico due to its location within the main urban area and the number and variety of routes. Many parts of this area are shady all day long, and some are even in cave-like areas. The limestone rock is excellent—a mix of English-muffin cragginess and smooth candle-dripping laybacks.

    **This experience is only available from Wednesday to Sunday. The park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for maintenance.

    Caliche is a beautiful climbing area in a vast valley filled with limestone in the town of Ciales in northern Puerto Rico. This crag has been one of the island gems since the 1990s. This small area has over 40 sports lines between 5.7 and 5.13d.

Guided Trips to Bayamon, Puerto Rico

Come and join a guided climbing trip to Bayamon, Puerto Rico! Our certified AMGA SPI instructor will lead the way, and everyone is welcome to join our group trips to Nuevo Bayamon at Monagas Park.

It's an excellent opportunity to meet new people who share your passion for climbing and spend an incredible amount of time outdoors in our tropical paradise. So, pack your bags and get ready to experience the thrill of climbing in beautiful Puerto Rico!

No experience is required.

  • All gear is needed, e.g., harnesses, shoes, and helmets.

  • Experienced AMGA professional instructors provide it.

  • We do all the boring parts so you can focus on having fun.

We have three places to choose to go bouldering:

  • Bayamon (Monagas Park) has many limestone climbs with challenging features like overhangs, tufas, pockets, and short roofs in the forest.

  • Juncos' Area 51 offers a variety of granite boulder climbing routes with varying levels of difficulty. These routes are conveniently located just a 2-minute stroll from the parking area.

  • Yabucoa has the largest concentration of granite blocks and is home to world-class lines developed by top climbers. It's on the southeast coast, south of Humacao, and offers breathtaking seaside views and delicious food. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience.
